The Vocational Education Cosmetology Program at Cheraw High School is designed to prepare students to qualify for state licensing examination in cosmetology. Upon passing the exam, the students receive a cosmetology license and are prepared for a career in that field. Shown working on some of their “models” are, left to right, Tammy Marshall, Kennethia Freeman, Icyean Wallace, Alicia Blackman, Sonia Campbell, and Renee Purvis. Betty Hurst is the instructor for the course. (CCSD Photo) This was published Feb. 23, 1989, in the Cheraw Chronicle.
