Rehearsals are well underway for the On Stage production of “$38,000 for a Friendly Face,” by Kristin Sheperd. The stage flats are in place and awaiting detail, as the cast prepares to leave their scripts behind the curtain.
This “dark” comedy causes one to laugh at the realities of life, good or bad, as the entire play takes place in a funeral home operated by a former police officer. The play is written in a very direct and frank manner, and does include some strong, profane language. Parents are advised this is a performance best suited for adult audiences.
The cast and crew invite you to join them for one of only four performances Sept. 26 - 29, at the Theatre on the Green, just off Market Street in downtown Cheraw. Performances Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings begin at 7:30 p.m. The Sunday performance, Sept. 29, will begin at 3 p.m.
Tickets may be purchased in advance, or at the door. For more information call the Cheraw Arts Commission at 843-537-8420, extension 12.
