The Cheraw Arts Commission’s annual fundraiser, A Fashionable Art Affaire, will be held today.

The evening begins at 7 p.m. with the latest spring fashions from Mahala Reese Boutique at the Theatre on the Green.

The evening continues at the Wine Factory, with a reception featuring silent and live auctions. Items for auction include dinners, jewelry, artwork, pottery, getaways and more.

All proceeds will benefit programs for the Cheraw Arts Commission.

This year’s theme is Bark for the Arts, said Lindsay Bennett, executive director of the Cheraw Arts Commission. “We want to help create an awareness for our local canine friends.”

“Attendees are asked to bring a bag of dog food to be given to Paws’n Claws,” said Bennett.

Tickets are $25 in advance, and $30 at the door. Tickets may be purchased at the Cheraw Community Center, Mahala Reese Boutique, and Elaine’s Salon & Spa.

Contact the Cheraw Arts Commission for information at 843-537-8420, extension 12.
