Metal and enamel artist Katy Cassell of Greenville gave a demonstration of her work to students of Northeastern Technical College and members of the community Oct. 15. The event was made possible through the Artist in Residence program sponsored by the Cheraw Arts Commission and NETC.

The Artist in Residence program, hosted at Cheraw State Park, is a statewide program allowing artists to stay at the park and create works of art based on their interpretations of a park’s natural and cultural offerings.

For more information about Cassell, visit her website at www.katybergmancassell.com.

The Cheraw Arts Commission is supported by the United Way of Chesterfield County and the SC Arts Commission, which receives funding from the National Endowment for the Arts.
