The town of Cheraw will launch the 2014 edition of Third Thursdays on May 15 with The Legacy Motown Review.

This will be the first of four summer concerts, for ages 21 and up. Lounge chairs and coolers are welcomed.

“This popular summer entertainment series was created last summer as a means to promote Cheraw as a vibrant place to live, work, and visit,” said David Sides, director of Cheraw Community Development and Tourism.

“It offers both locals and visitors a fun, relaxing evening.”

All Third Thursdays events will be held from 7 to 9 p.m at the Cheraw Community Center, 200 Powe Street, at a cost of $5 per person.

Future performers include The Magnificents on June 19; The Band of Oz on July 17; and The Embers with Craig Woolard on Aug. 21.
