The Cheraw Town Council unanimously approved Ordinance 2015-02 Tuesday evening authorizing the sale of a house and property at 101 White Row in Cheraw for $25.
According to the ordinance, the council agreed it was in residents’ best interest to transfer the town’s interest, title and ownership of the real property to the highest bidder, Corina Esaw.
Esaw bid $25 for the property Aug. 6, at a public bid conducted by the town of Cheraw.
The house sits at the end of a grass driveway, just off Davis Street on the west side of the railroad tracks. It is the only house on White Row, and appears to be in the back yard of another property.
