6 p.m. until 8 p.m. - eZra brown, Evening Jazz on the Green, Town Green. This free street party, featuring saxophonist eZa brown, will be held outdoors between the Theatre on the Green and the Town Green near Gillespie’s bronze statue on Market Street. The event is sponsored by Ironwood Farms, Chesterfield General Hospital and the Greater Cheraw Chamber of Commerce.

8 a.m. - Dizzy’s “Chee-raw” 5K run/walk and BeBop half-mile fun run/walk for kids.
9 a.m. - Golf Tournament - Cheraw State Park. Two-person scramble. Shotgun start. $140/team.
10 a.m. until 5 p.m. - “Dizzy” on display, Southern African American Heritage Center, 125 Kershaw St.
10 a.m. until 3 p.m. - Italian Madonnari Chalk Competition, sidewalk by Theatre on the Green.
11 a.m. - BeBop Parade and Dizzy’s Birthday Celebration- Second line umbrella participants, and the nine piece, New Orleans style jazz band, The Empire Strikes Brass, lead this fun-filled parade from Dizzy Park on Huger Street to down town’s Centennial Park at the corner of Market and Second Streets.
11 a.m. until 2 p.m. - First Methodist Church barbecue and bake sale, 113 Third Street.
Noon until 1 p.m. - Knight’s Smooth Jazz, College Inn.
Noon until 3 p.m. - Art and art activities for children on and near the Town Green
