CHERAW, S.C. — Rosa Mae Craft, 90, died Friday, July 4, 2014.
Born in Cheraw, she was a daughter of the late John C. and Rosa Mae Tyson Matheson. She was the widow of Robert L. Craft. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Cheraw, and taught Sunday school for 50-plus years. She enjoyed working in her flowers; she considered it therapy for her. Most of all, she loved her family and had a servant’s heart.
Surviving her are her daughters, Mary C. (Clyde) Baker of Columbia, S.C., Judy (Pat) Martin of Florence, S.C., Elizabeth Smith of Cheraw, a daughter-in-law, Wanda Craft of Cheraw, a brother, Billy (Frances) Matheson of Marietta, Georgia, a sister, Dorothy (Wilson) Brown of Irmo, S.C., nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband listed above, also, a son Johnnie L. Craft, brothers, Leslie Matheson, Roy Matheson, David Matheson, Elliott Matheson, Dock Matheson, Ernest Matheson and sisters, Clara Matheson and Lillie Wallace.
The family received friends from 1-2 p.m. Sunday, July 6 at Kiser Funeral Home, Cheraw.
A funeral service was held at 2 p.m. July 6 at Kiser Funeral Home, Cheraw. Burial was in Chatham Hill Memorial Gardens.
