WALLACE, S.C. — John Julian McQueen, 89, died Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2014.

Born in Bennettsville, S.C., he was a son of the late Johnny and Maggie Owens McQueen and the widower of his wife Bonnie Quick Hall McQueen.

He was a member of Antioch United Methodist Church and also attended Ebenezer United Methodist Church. He was an insurance agent with Woodman of the World.

Surviving are his sons, Joseph L. Hall of Wallace, Kellon Hall of Cheraw and John Hall of Bennettsville; a sister, Lillian Richardson of Florence; and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife listed above, also, a brother, Eldred McQueen; a sister, Marguerite Lemonds; and a granddaughter Millie E. Hall.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Kiser Funeral Home in Cheraw.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday at Ebenezer United Methodist Church in Bennettsville. Burial will be in the Stubbs Cemetery in Bennettsville.
