Erin Hope Pusser of Chesterfield, S.C., and Edoardo Orlandi of Florence, Italy, were wed Aug. 10, 2013 on the beach at Ocean Isle, N.C.
The Rev. Jennifer Copeland of Durham, N.C. officiated at the half-past five o’clock double ring ceremony.
The bride is a daughter of Mrs. Ernest Hugh Pusser Sr. and the late Ernest Hugh Pusser Sr. Grandparents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Valentino Sr. and the late Mr. Louis Davis Rivers Sr. and Mr. and Mrs. John Welborn Pusser Sr.
The groom is the son of the Mrs. Cristiana Rossi Orlandi of Florence, Italy, and the late Alberto Orlandi. Grandparents of the groom are Mrs. Silvia Rossi of Rome, Mr. and Mrs. Edoardo Orlandi Sr. of Florence and the late Mr. Sifiano Rossi.
The bride was presented for marriage by her mother and family. She was escorted by her cousin Mr. Ronald Cruz of Johns Creek, Ga.
The bride chose an ivory Galina original designer gown of vintage chiffon and crepe. The sculpted strapless gown featured a bisque satin flower applique designed by the bride. Tiers of tulle cascaded from the dropped waist and exposed a mid center slit in front and a fully bustled skirt in back. The gown was accented with a finger tip ivory veil consisting of beading along the edge. The bride carried a bouquet of white roses, peonies, tulips, ranunculus and lilies. The stems were wrapped in ivory chantilly lace.
The bride’s sister, Emily Paige De Marco, of Santa Barbara, Ca., was the matron of honor. She wore a formal tea length gown of crepe and chiffon in watermelon that featured an empire waist. She carried a mixed bouquet of roses, tulips, stargazers and lilies in contrasting shades of blush. The stems were wrapped in marine satin ribbon.
The bridesmaids were Miss Alexandra Cruz of Johns Creek, Miss Kelly Rose Cruz of Johns Creek, Miss Lauren Shell of Alpharetta, Ga., Miss Joy Williams of Charlotte, N.C., Miss Emma Rose Rivers of Florence, S.C., Miss Sarah Diehl of Portland, Ore., Miss Diana Abernathy of Durham, N.C., Miss Megan Wilkerson of Chesterfield, Miss Kaitlyn Shackelton of Seattle, Wash. and Miss Irene Orlandi of Florence, Italy. They all wore dresses made identical to the matron of honor, but with alternating shades of watermelon and marine. Each carried a bouquet identical to the matron of honor.
The flower girl was Sierra Rivers of Chesterfield. She wore a formal floor length gown of ivory, taffeta and crepe. She carried an off white satin basket filled with watermelon colored rose petals.
The best man was Icacopo Piani of Florence, Italy.
The groomsmen were Derrick Rivers of Colorado Springs, Colo, Louis Rivers III (Rusty) of Sumter, William Rivers of Chesterfield, Kevin Lucey of Mooresville, N.C., Wyatt Rivers of Florence, S.C. and Pete De Marco of Palo Alto, Ca.
Ring bearer was Davis Lucey of Mooresville, N.C.
Music for the occasion was provided by Mr. Tim Holland and soloist was Mrs. Beth Hough. She sang “Surely the Presence of the Lord.”
The registry attendant was Mrs. Caroline Cruz.
The greeters for both the wedding and reception were Mrs. Alma Purser and Mrs. Rhonda Shell.
After the ceremony, the bride, mother, sister and brother-in-law hosted a formal dinner and dance at the Isles Beach Resort in Ocean Isle, N.C.
After a wedding trip to Jamaica, the couple resides in Florence, Italy.
On Aug. 9, 2013, after the rehearsal, the groom’s family hosted a rehearsal dinner at the Ocean Isle Inn in Ocean Isle. The groom chose this time to present his best man, groomsmen and ring bearer with a gift.
On Aug. 2, 2013, the bride was honored with a Bridal Luncheon at the lovely home of Mr. Mrs. Rouse Pusser. It was hosted by Mrs. Dottie Pusser.
On Aug. 3, 2013, the bride was honored with a Bridal Luncheon at Saint Paul United Methodist Fellowship Hall. The event was hosted by Mrs. Ellen Griffith, Mrs. Mary Alice Matthew, Mrs. Connie Spencer, Mrs. Joy Hardison and Mrs. Ann Hendrick.
On Aug. 10, 2013, the bride was honored with a Bridesmaid Luncheon at the lovely beach house of her aunt, Mrs. Alma Purser. The luncheon was hosted by her aunts, Mrs. Amanda Rivers-Lucey, Mrs. Donna Rivers, Mrs. Laura Rivers, Mrs. Dianne Williams and Mrs. Alma Purser. The bride chose this time to present her attendants with a gift.
