Psalm 31:15 : My times are in thy hand: deliver me from the hand of mine enemies, and from them that persecute me.

Now is the time

Time, what is it? Is it in a bottle or packaged up? Does it have shape or color? Is it light or darkness? Exactly, what is time?

The Webster’s II Dictionary gives several definitions but this one caught my attention the most.

(An interval between events, a non-spatial continuum in which events occurs in apparently irreversible succession from the past through the present to the future).

Wow, you know what this means? It means that no matter how hard we try, we cannot turn back (time). What we do now or a year from now is not reversible. So, whatever we do or say, we have got to get it right the first time around. Imagine this, before there was ever anything else, rather it be tangible or spiritual, there was God. God is the beginning and the end of all things and that includes ‘time.” Without it, where would we all be? We would not be at all, I think is the better statement. Time as we know it here on earth will cease one day as God’s Word assures us in the Book of Revelation. When He decides that it is (time) for his world to be over, then that it the final straw. I have often thought of how God feels about us, other than loving us. I mean, He watches over us every second of the day, He feeds us, gives us the clothes we wear and the cars we drive, the job and paycheck we receive, the air we breath, the fresh smell in the air after a spring rain, the crispy cold winter days (even though we often complain about these), and most of all, love and free salvation. He never leaves or forsake us, even though we leave Him and forsake Him much too often. Yet, in all of these things, He still provides and gives us the precious gift of (time). It is up to us as to how we use that gift. It is not only a gift from the Lord but also a privilege. Do we use our time wisely to serve Him and to witness to the lost souls who do not know Jesus Christ as Savior? I pray so.

However, God also knows that we are only human and have a tendency to make mistakes in life. This is where forgiveness flows from God’s own heart. He forgives and forgets our sins if we ask for forgiveness. We must always be prepared for that final Day of Judgment from God. I pray that we all are ready because the only (time) we have to prepare for the biggest event ever to take place, the rapture, is what our Heavenly Father, God, allows us.

We are not promised tomorrow and the only time we have to make things right or acceptable to God is now, the (time) He is giving us here and today.

Is there such a thing as time in a bottle? Yes, when we bottle our time up with too many other things but God, then we put a cap on the top of our Christianity. We cannot get out of the bottle to share the love and (time) that God has blessed us with. So open your heart and minds to God. NOW is the TIME.
