RUBY– Mrs. Betty Gaskins Woodward, 90, died May 30, 2010.

Funeral services were at 3 p.m. June 1, at Cross Roads Baptist Church.

Burial followed in the church cemetery.

Visitation was 1-3 p.m. Tuesday, prior to the service, in the Church Family Life Center.

Mrs. Woodward was born April 11, 1920 a daughter of the late William H. and Mitt Sellers Gaskins. She was a homemaker and member of Cross Roads Baptist Church. Betty was married to the late Clark Lawrence Woodward for over 53 years, and was also preceded in death by her brother, John T. Gaskins; a son, William Thomas Woodward; and by an infant daughter.

Surviving are 10 children: Jerry (Rachel) Woodward of Pageland, Betty (Arlee) Gaddy of Norwood, N.C., John (Melinda) Woodward of Olivia, N.C., Melvin (Dawn) Woodward of Marshville, N.C., Carolyn (Junior) Sellers of Cheraw, Dean (Patsy) Woodward of Pageland, Peggy (Danny) Gulledge of Ruby, Mickey (Michelle) Woodward of Chesterfield, Barbara (Tim) Lampley of Ruby, and Billy (Deronda) Woodward of Chesterfield; 24 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren, Gloria (Andy) Glasser of Decatur, Ga. and their children, Rachel, Nealie, and William; Jeremy Woodward of Pageland, Brittany (Bryan) Hayes of Pageland, and their children, Lily and Kate; Mark Gaddy of Morven, N.C. and his son, Carlee; Barrett Gaddy of Morven, N.C. and his son, Leif; Andy (Becky) Woodward of Sanford, N.C. and their children, Courtney, Conner, and Hunter; Rhonda (Chris) Woodward of Sanford, N.C. and their children, Jacob and Wyatt; Cindy (Sean) Kaul of Alexandria, Va. and their children, Ransom and Raleigh; Alison (Brandon) Chafin of Sarasota, Fla., Melissa (Nick) Potisek of Cary, N.C. and their son, Finn; Miranda (Brandon) Lawrence of Trinity, N.C. and their daughter, Kaleigh; Daniel Guffey and Darren Guffey both of Marshville, N.C., Amy (Rob) Matey of Baltimore, MD; April (Eric) Sellers of Baltimore, MD; Deanna (Greg) Jenkins of Pageland and their children, Drew, Genger, and Brock; David Woodward of Ruby; Brandi (Bill) Rivers of Ruby and their children, Garrett, Gavin, and Grady; Crystal (Anthony) Oliver of Ruby; Nicholas (Brandi) Gulledge of Chesterfield and their son, Hunter; Chris Woodward of Chesterfield and his children, Dylan, Taylor, Noah, and Christina; Brad (Kelly) Woodward of Spartanburg; Jessica (Brad) Pigg of Pageland and their children, Katelyn and Kenzie; Josh (Ivy) Gardner of Ruby; and Alishia (Jason) Watford of Darlington.

Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
