Betty Jenkins Lowder, 77, died Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2012.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 28, at First Southern Methodist Church.

Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 28, at the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home and other times at the home of her brother-in-law, Ronny Lowder.

Born Dec. 8, 1934, in Ruby, she was the daughter of the late Lemuel Frank Jenkins and Emma Kirkley Jenkins.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Joseph Lowder.

Lowder is survived by her daughter, Cynthia L. Robertson (Robbie) of Pontiac, two brothers, Joe Jenkins of Ruby, and Johnny Jenkins (Elma) of Chesterfield, brothers-in-law, Ronny Lowder (Harriet) and Charles Cobb (Pauline) all of Sumter, sister-in-law, Betty Adams (John) of Summerville, and nieces and nephews.
