The 2nd annual Blue Jay Festival will begin on Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012, with a softball tournament and the Miss Blue Jay Pageant in Jefferson. A deadline is approaching for an art contest tied to the festival.
The Festival Committee will host a t-shirt design contest and will award the winner a prize and the design will appear on the festival shirts that will be available for purchase. Anyone can enter the contest. All designs should be delivered in person or mailed to the Jefferson Town Hall, PO Box 306, Jefferson, S.C. 29718 on or before July 31, 2012.
Festivities will continue Friday, Oct. 12, through Saturday, Oct. 13, with Jefferson’s Got Talent, 5k Run/Walk, the Blue Jay Parade and ending with a dance on Saturday night.
The festival will have many other events for the entire family to enjoy such as karaoke, a corn hole tournament, a shag contest, a car and bike show along with many other children’s activities.
