The Greater Cheraw Chamber of Commerce and the Town of Cheraw invite the public to a Business and Industry Expo and Job Fair on Thursday, Sept. 27, from noon until 5 p.m., at the Cheraw Community Center on the corner of Powe and Second Streets. The event, sponsored by Chesterfield General Hospital, is free and open to the public.
There will be more than 30 booths to showcase various businesses, along with their products and services.
“This is an excellent time to visit, network and learn new things about area businesses and industries,” said Phil Powell, president of the Greater Cheraw Chamber of Commerce. “And a great time to inquire about job opportunities.”
Various vendors will be offering sample products and job search assistance, said Powell. Health screening will also be available.
The event will be followed by a Business after Hours reception in the Mary G. Burr Gallery at the Community Center, hosted by Agape Hospice. The South Carolina Watermedia Society Exhibit, on loan from the South Carolina State Museum, is currently featured in the gallery.
The following businesses will be participating in this year’s expo: First Citizens Bank, Schaeffler Group, Wannamaker Drugs, Highland Industries, Carolina Bank, Founders Bank, First Bank, Palmetto Brick, Coker College, Olsten Staffing, CHESCO, Hospice of Chesterfield County, SC Works, Chesterfield General Hospital, Agape Hospice, the Town of Cheraw, Northeastern Technical College, the Chesterfield County Economic Development Board, Cheraw Kiwanis Club, Chesterfield County School District, CareSouth, H2U, Mercy in Me, Cheraw State Park, AT&T, Jones Furniture, The Link/WCRE and the Chesterfield County News & Shopper.
