The following arrests were recently made by the Cheraw Police Department:

• Jerry Chandler Johnson, 41, of 88 Wilson Hill Lane, Cheraw, was arrested for driving under the influence and driving under suspension.

• Michael Deon Cook, 27, of 3169 Hwy 9 West, Wallace, was arrested for simple possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

• Anthony E. Baylor, 48, of 101 Raley St., Cheraw, was arrested for shoplifting and two counts of distribution of crack cocaine.

• Franklin Keith Sowell, 46, of 318 S. Church St., Cheraw, was arrested for shoplifting.

• Ashley Sharene Ford, 18, of 96 Greene St., Cheraw, was arrested for shoplifting and third degree assault.

• Brandon Maurice Baldwin, 29, of 106 Snake Hill Road, Rockingham, N.C., was arrested for ABC violation and possession of drug paraphernalia.

• Diamond Rebecca Short, 18, of 81 Dewey Thomas Road, Cheraw, was arrested for assault and battery third degree, and trespassing.

• Henry McDonald, 66, of 3040 W. Market St., Cheraw, was arrested for driving with an unlawful alcohol concentration (DUAC).

• Rodrick Cotton, 22, of 74 Church St., Cheraw, was arrested for shoplifting.

• Jeffrey Thomas Wilson, 42, of 133 Evans Row, Cheraw, was arrested for shoplifting and resisting arrest.

• Terrence Javon Gillespie, 18, of 357 Huger St., Cheraw, was arrested for second degree burglary.

Arrest reports published in the Cheraw Chronicle are copied from local law enforcement records. Reports include both arrest and criminal summons such as citations. The Chronicle lists them all as arrests. People charged are presumed innocent until determined to be guilty by a court of law.
