The following arrests were recently made by the Cheraw Police Department:

• Jamal Shawtrell Johnson, 27, of 103 Inglis Road, Cheraw, was arrested for not having a South Carolina driver’s license.

• Tony Lewis, 46, of 102 Raley St., Cheraw, was arrested for driving under suspension.

• Nick Shields Jr., 19, of 419 Cash Road, Cheraw, was arrested for trespassing.

• Francis Lee Short, 39, of 101 Agerton St., Cheraw, was arrested for shoplifting.

• Shawn P. Kelly, 55, of Room 215 Days Inn, Cheraw, was arrested for public drunk.

• Teon Vondell Hudson, 29, of 111 Legrand St., Cheraw, was arrested for criminal domestic violence.

Arrest reports published in the Cheraw Chronicle are copied from local law enforcement records. Reports include both arrest and criminal summons such as citations. The Chronicle lists them all as arrests. People charged are presumed innocent until determined to be guilty by a court of law.
