GREENWOOD — Lander University conferred degrees upon 280 graduates at the university’s spring commencement ceremonies in April, including several graduates from Chesterfield County.
Local recipients of the Golden L award were BreAnne Adair Hancock of Chesterfield, and Bridget Denise Morton of Chesterfield.
Below is a listing of spring 2012 Lander graduates from Chesterfield County, along with their hometowns, degrees and majors:
Tierra Tanay Cash, Chesterfield, Bachelor of Science, Psychology; Caroline Mary Crook, Jefferson, Bachelor of Science, Physical Education (K-12 Certification); Richard Allen Dixon, Chesterfield, Bachelor of Science, Business Administration; BreAnne Adair Hancock, Chesterfield, Bachelor of Science, Elementary Education; Bridget Denise Morton, Chesterfield, Bachelor of Science, Special Education; and Chavonne Patricia Rivers, Pageland, Bachelor of Science, Business Administration.
One hundred three graduates received honors at the ceremony. Honors included summa cum laude, magna cum laude and cum laude. Graduates also received Lander’s Golden L award, which is given to students who have earned a cumulative GPA of at least 3.5 in the last 60 hours of instruction through Lander University.
