Pleasant Hill Baptist Church will have their Vacation Bible School for kindergarten through youth, 6-8 p.m. nightly. The theme for this year’s VBS is “Saddle Ridge Ranch”. Pleasant Hill is located at the intersection of Teals Mill and Wire 1 Roads about seven miles south of Cheraw.

A memorial service will be held for “Rita Jack” Baskins on June 12, at 4 p.m. at Cross Branch Baptist Church.

Faith and Healing Christian Center located at 200 Chesterfield Hwy. in Cheraw will have their 17th Pastoral anniversary and pastor’s appreciation for Pastor Mattie L. Nichols. The speaker for the event will be Missionary Doris Tomlinson of Hamlet, N.C. The public is invited to attend.
The C.L. Byrd Gospel Choir of Piney Grove Baptist Church will celebrate their first anniversary. Chorus and groups from churches in the community and surrounding areas are invited to fellowship. Services will begin with Sunday school at 10 a.m. and morning worship at 11 a.m. and Bible study will be held on Wed. at 6 p.m.

The Spiritual Holy Heirs of Florence, Sweet Home Choir of Ruby, Davidson Grove of Chesterfield, The Harmonettes of Pageland, The Gospel Tabernacle Choir and many others will be at Gospel Tabernacle Church at 6 p.m. l at 549 Deaton Street, Ruby.
