PAGELAND WATERMELON FESTIVAL

WHEN: Saturday, July 21 at 9 a.m.

WHERE: Downtown Pageland

WHAT: Visit the fresh watermelon market, and enjoy a watermelon eating and watermelon seed spitting contest. Children will enjoy the carnival and magic shows. There will also be live entertainment, music, food, crafts and a parade.

BCACM ANNUAL VBS/BACK TO SCHOOL BASH

WHEN: July 21 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

WHERE: Pinehill Baptist Retreat and Camp, 2096 Baptist Road, Bennettsville

WHAT: The Bennettsville-Cheraw Cooperative Ministry announces its annual vacation Bible school picnic and back to school bash. Each church is responsible for providing chaperones for all children and youth attending. During the festivities, The Honorable Judge Nan Fleming and Marlboro County School District Board member will motivate the youth and children with an inspiring message in hopes of encouraging students to excel. Transportation is available for participants.
