The Eagles of Central High began their quest to repeat as Upper State 2A Champions by cruising past Mid-Carolina by the score of 26 to 7. There was never a doubt that the Eagles would not win the game. On their second possession in the first quarter, the Eagles scored a touch down. Following that, the Eagles returned an interception for a touch down. By the time the first half ended, the Eagles led 20-7 and put up another scoring touch down in the second half to come away with the victory.

The battle on the field was pretty fierce but the Eagles managed to keep the upper hand by riding on the strength of the defense. Next up for the Eagles will be Chesnee. They upset Pendleton in the first round to earn the right to travel to Pageland and take on the Eagles. Chesnee will be coming to town with an 8-4 record and hope to pull off a second upset in the first two rounds of the playoffs. Game time is set for 7:30 at Eagles stadium. Fans are encouraged to come out and support the Eagles as they seek to repeat as Upper State 2A Champions. Congratulations to all of the Eagles for advancing to the second round.
