Gerald M. “P” Lang, 71, died Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2012, at his home.

A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, Aug. 17, at Zoar United Methodist Church. Interment with Masonic Rites will follow in the Lang Family Cemetery at Zoar United Methodist Church.

Visitation will be held following the committal service in the fellowship hall of Zoar United Methodist Church.

Mr. Lang was born Aug. 4, 1941, in Chesterfield, a son of the late Arthur Jefferson and Elizabeth Frances Privett Lang. He was a retired employee of Delta Mills with 38 years of service, a member of Cheraw Masonic Lodge #15, and a member of Zoar United Methodist Church. Gerald was a true outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting and golfing.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Helen W. “Nan” Lang of the home; a daughter, Sharon (Todd) Robinson of Cheraw; a granddaughter, Chrislynne Key “Krystal” Robinson of Rock Hill; and a family friend, Linda Richardson of Cheraw.
