Hospice of Chesterfield County recently welcomed three new members to its board of directors.

Phillip Caulder of Chesterfield, Hampton Hubbard of McColl and Jim Sisson of McBee were elected to three-year terms as board members at the agency’s annual meeting on June 21.

Caulder and his wife, Yetive, have two children, Cas and Calyn. He is a graduate of Gupton-Jones Mortuary College. He has been affiliated with Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home for 41 years and became the owner in 1988. Caulder is a member and past president of the S.C. Funeral Directors Association and a member and past committee member of the National Funeral Directors Association. He is a Gideon and a member and deacon at Pine Grove Baptist Church, member and chaplain of the Chesterfield Fire Department and a member of the Chesterfield Masonic Lodge 220 and Chesterfield Service Club. He also serves on the board of the Mercy In Me Free Medical Clinic in Cheraw.

Hubbard and his wife, Phyllis, have two daughters, Molli Moon and Mary Megan Hardy, and three grandchildren. He is a graduate of St. Andrews University (BS, Biology) and Winthrop University (Masters, Education Leadership) and is employed with Marlboro County Public Schools. Hubbard is treasurer of the Marlboro Players and a member of the Marlboro Civic Center board of directors and the First United Methodist Church of Bennettsville.

Sisson and his wife, Thelma, have two daughters, Kimberly Marshall and Beth Ann Meschter, and five grandchildren. He is retired from E.I. Dupont Co. and Southern Graphics. He is active in the McBee Lions Club having served as president and food pantry coordinator and has been inducted into the S.C. Lions Hall of Fame. Sisson has served on the McBee High School Improvement Council and the board of the United Way of Chesterfield County. He is a member of McBee Presbyterian Church where his service includes elder and Sunday School superintendent and teacher.

Officers for the organization were also elected at the annual meeting. Marion Anderson of Cheraw was elected President, Steve Jackson of Pageland as Vice-President and Reid McBride of Cheraw as Secretary-Treasurer. Also serving on the Hospice of Chesterfield County Board are Jane Johnson of Jefferson, Sarah Lisenby of Chesterfield, Cathey McLain of Wallace, Rev. James Redfearn of Cheraw and Bill Stubbs of Chesterfield.
