Mr. and Mrs. James Bernard Jeffries of Orangeburg announce the engagement of their daughter, Dr. Jessica A. Jeffries to Harold Q. Jackson, son of Mr. Robert “Skeeter” Jackson of Chesterfield and Ms. Denise Scott of Cheraw.
The bride is the granddaughter of Mr. William J. Moffatte of Columbia and Mrs. Jannie M. Jeffries of Orangeburg and the late Hermenia W. Moffatte and Harley G. Jeffries. Jessica is a graduate of Hampton University and is now a pharmacist with Walgreen’s Pharmacy.
The groom is the grandson of Mrs. Clarrese Nivens Scott of Cheraw and the late Harold Scott, Kenneth “Kenny” L. Jackson and Clara Henson Jackson. Harold is a 2004 Chesterfield High School graduate and is now a staff sergeant in the United States Air Force.
A June 30 wedding is planned and will be held at Francis Burns United Methodist Church in Columbia.
