Lillie Brown Miller, 74, died Thursday, Dec. 13, 2012, at her home.
A funeral service was held Sunday, Dec. 16, at Mount Elon United Methodist Church located in Jefferson. The interment followed in the the church cemetery.
Miller, the daughter of the late Ike and Cassie Mae Gaskins McCaskill and Walt Brown was born May 3, 1938, in Angelus. She became a member of Mount Elon United Methodist Church at an early age. Miller was employed by Central Soya of Monroe, N.C., until she retired. She was proceeded in death by her husband, Chester Miller; a son, Dennis Gaskins; two brothers, Roscoe McCaskill and Javance Jowers; a sister, Alma Mae Hough.
Miller is survived by her five sons, Tommy Edward Gaskins, High Point, N.C., Bobby Charles Miller, Scottie Bernard Miller (Charlene), both of Pageland, Kevin Michael Miller of Jefferson, and Derrick Miller, Charlotte, N.C.; three daughters, Aleen Smith (James) of Kershaw, Marilyn Jill Miller (Willie) and Karen Machell McMillan (Danny), both of Pageland; a sister, Betty Ann McCaskill of Jefferson; twenty-seven grandchildren, a host of great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Flemming Funeral Home was in charge.
