DILLON - The Marlboro County Sheriff’s Office has captured and arrested Charlie Blackmon, 20, 118 Thicket Place in Latta, S.C. The Marlboro County Sheriff’s Office tracking team was called to assist in the search for Blackmon at the request of the Dillon County Sheriff’s Office, who responded in Dillon County to allegations that Blackmon allegedly shot at a victim numerous times. That incident resulted in a car chase involving the Dillon County Sheriff’s Office and Blackmon. Once Blackmon reached near the Marlboro County line on Hwy. 38 South, authorities said that Blackmon got out of the car and ran from law enforcement. Three members of the Marlboro County Sheriff’s Office Tracking Team responded with the Unit’s bloodhound, Lolly. After about a two-hour search for Blackmon, he was found and captured in a field.
According to the police report, police searched Blackmon’s vehicle and found bullets inside of it. The Marlboro County Sheriff’s Office said that Blackmon would face multiple charges in Dillon County.
