Members of the Bennettsville-Cheraw Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. sponsored their annual Christmas Dinner for senior citizens on Dec. 15 at the Shiloh Family Life Center in Bennettsville. Music and entertainment were provided by chapter members, senior participants, and pianist Adrian Gay.

Cheryl Watson, senior Mental Health Specialist for Marlboro Park Hospital, was the guest speaker. Watson talked about issues facing seniors citizens suffering from depression; and things that can be done to reduce stress.

Chairperson for the event was Beatrice DuPree. Food was provided and prepared by the sorority in conjunction with Agape’ Hospice and Family Affair Catering. In addition to dinner, each guest received a gift from members of the sorority.

On behalf of the entire sorority, Chapter president Karen Clark extended a hearty thanks to Agape’ Hospice, Family Affair Catering, Adrian Gay, Cheryl Watson, and each of the participants, for their contribution to the success of the event.
