Henry “Leroy” Carter, 69, died Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2012.

A funeral service was held Thursday, Dec. 27, at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home Chapel, Chesterfield. Interment was held Friday, Dec. 28, at Patrick Cemetery, Patrick.

Visitation was Thursday, Dec. 27, prior to the service at the funeral home.

Carter was born April 17, 1943, in Cheraw, a son of the late Henry and Annie Jane Ingram Carter. He was a retired employee of the Unifi Company. In addition to his parents, Carter was also preceded in death by two brothers, Bobby Lee Crowley and Woodrow Carter; and by his sister, Anita Gingrich.

He is survived by his brother: Gene Carter of Umpass, Va., aunt: Helen Geneva Ingram of Cheraw, uncle: James Harmon (Dorothy) Ingram of Lilesville, N.C., also four nieces, three nephews and a number of cousins.

Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home of Chesterfield, is serving the family.
