CHESTERFIELD — Two men in custody facing charges stemming fatal Dec. 3 shooting are scheduled for a bond hearing hearing next week.

Joshua Antwain Miller, 23, of 5653 Hwy 109. S. Chesterfield, remains in custody on murder charges along with Timothy Floyd Melton, 27, of 113 Melton Circle, Chesterfield, charged with being an accessory after the fact.

Both men are tied to the shooting death of Michael Christopher Wilson, 25, who was shot in the head at his Smitty Lane mobile home in Chesterfield.

Both men could see a bond hearing as early as Jan. 4 before a circuit court judge.

Miller is also facing obstruction of justice charges for recanting a statement fingering Melton as the shooter then being unsure who fired the fatal shot.

Miller, who was at the scene when law enforcement arrived, told deputies Wilson was shot in the head by somebody who knocked at the front door of the Smitty Lane mobile home.

Preliminary autopsy results indicate the gunshot came from a small caliber handgun.

Melton was found "in proximity of the scene," deputies said.

Miller faces multiple drug charges filed by county deputies most recently Dec. 2 when deputies charged him and two others with possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine during a traffic stop on S.C. Highway 102.

Deputies seized a gram of crack cocaine from the car.
