After unanimously passing first reading of curb-your-pet ordinance, Chesterfield Town Council is expected to officially approve the measure during a 5:30 p.m. meeting today.
The ordinance requires pet owners to clean up their pet's feces left on public property and private property owned by others.
According to the proposed ordinance, pet owners would be required to pick up feces utilizing a plastic bag or "other suitable container" and disposing of the excrement.
