PATRICK – Donald Wilkes, 69, died April 12, 2011.
A memorial service will be held April 23 at 2:00 p.m. at Children’s Baptist Church, Patrick.
Mr. Wilkes was born May 12, 1941 in Chesterfield County, son of the late Daniel Buff Wilkes and Eva May Brown Wilkes. He worked in textiles throughout his life. He was preceded in death by his parents listed above.
Donald is survived by daughter, Barbara Turnage (Roy Funderburk) of Darlington; sons, Donnie and Steve of Patrick; ex-wife Margaret W. Perdue; grandchildren, Kristine Turnage Abernathy, John Paul Turnage Abernathy and Donnie Chad Wilks; great grandson, Lucas Graham Abernathy.
Memorials in lieu of flowers may be made to Children’s Baptist Church, c/o Ann Campbell, 4890 Ousleydale Hwy. Hartsville, S.C. 29550.
