CHERAW - Mary Chapman Brazell, 78, died April 13, 2011.
Funeral services were held April 15 at Welsh Neck Baptist Church, Society Hill. Burial followed in the church cemetery. Visitation was held April 14 at Kiser Funeral Home, Cheraw
Born in Cheraw, Mary was the daughter of the late Willie Russell and Elsie Thomas Chapman. She was a faithful lifetime member of Welsh Neck Baptist Church and Nursery School Director.
Mrs. Chapman is survived by her husband (50+ years) Tony W. Brazell of Cheraw; sons, Henry B. Griggs, III of Cheraw, Robert R. Griggs of Chesterfield, daughter, Mary Jane Duffy of Spring Lake, NC, brother, Bobby Chapman of Society Hill, grandchildren; Lisa Griggs Linton, Christina J. Williams, Jewel E. Gulledge, Kennan R. Griggs, Kristen Sellers; great grandchildren, Carol Shea Linton and Brielle Jewel Williams.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents listed above and a sister, Emmie C. Griggs.
