The Greater Cheraw Chamber of Commerce invites the public to our Lunch & Learn event on May 18th at 11:30 a.m. at the Country Kitchen Restaurant. We are beginning half an hour early to give members and non-members an opportunity to express their opinions about the plans for the Post Office to close its Market Street facility and to sell the building.

The Chamber is deeply concerned about the problems that will result for those who do not have transportation to a consolidated post office on Highway 9 and the possible loss of this beautiful historic downtown building. We are also concerned about the negative impact of such a move on the economic development of our town.

In addition to the 30-minute public meeting portion of the Lunch & Learn, we will hear from Mayor Scott Hunter and Chamber Chair Kappie Griggs, and the Leadership Cheraw graduates will present their project to the community.

The public is urged to attend. The cost of buffet lunch is $8.00.

Sincerely,

Patsy J. Hendley, IOM

President, Greater Cheraw Chamber of Commerce
