The Cheraw Arts Commission is offering a variety of camps during July & August that include You Rock, Any Way, Shape or Form- Intro to Sculpting, Music Camp and Theatre Camp. Participants can explore Visual and Performing arts at some really cool camps!

Imaginations will run wild with You Rock!! while painting flowers, faces, animals and more on rocks. Supplies will be furnished, but participants ages 3 & up can bring a favorite rock. The camp dates are July 12-14 and cost is $20. Call the CAC, (843) 537.8420, to check on the various times for this camp. Instructors are Gina & Miracle Bowles.

Calling all Musicians! for Music Camp on July 18-21 with Musicians Kris House & Patrick Davis. Campers will explore the Performing Arts using dulcimer, chimes, recorder & percussion instruments. This camp is for grades K-6, and is a great introduction to the world of music. Registration fee is $36 and time is 10am-12noon.

Any Way, Shape, or Form… Intro to Sculpting will be held July 25-28 for campers ages 8 & up.

Artist Neil McClendon will teach basic sculpting skills of this visual art form. Participants will create a figurine using wire and clay. Registration fee of $25 includes all supplies and hours are 9am-11am.

Aspiring actors can discover the Performing Arts at the annual Theatre Camp on August 1-5 at the Theatre on the Green. Campers will learn basic acting skills, sing, and dance during the week. There will be a performance on Friday night, August 5 featuring these future stars. Porkchop Productions instructs campers grades 1st-4th and 5th & up. Registration is $45 for CAC members and $55 for non- members.
