High School and Kindergarten graduations

On Thursday, May 18, Jesus Is Lord Christian School was proud to honor Jennifer Roscoe as their only graduate in the class of 2011. Jennifer excelled academically, athletically, and in leadership skills. Jennifer will continue her studies at Northeastern Technical College and transfer to a four year college to receive her degree in Occupational Therapy.

The kindergarten class of 2011 held its ceremony immediately after the high school graduation. Seven graduates received their diplomas and a Bible from Pastor Allen Usher as they enjoyed an evening with a video presentation highlighting the graduates and cake and refreshments following.

End of year recognition and awards

Students in the first - twelfth grades received trophies and recognition for their academic accomplishments and perfect attendance for the 2010 -2011 school year on May 18. Congratulations to the following students: Making all “A’s” for the entire year - Jaclyn Moore, Janice Moore, Jacob Tarasiewicz, Lily Tarasiewicz, and Sarah Villafranca. Making all “A’s and B’s” for the entire year were Jayda Oxendine, Jadon Scott, Gracie Shy, Kylie Atkinson, Jonathan Gordon, Trinity Townsend-Quick, Harley Oxendine, Paxton Grizzle, Jaron Wilson, Jacob Gainey, Alisia Mondragon, Allyson Perry, Alaina Cranford, Charlie Grizzle, Zyan Avery, Jadarious Taylor, Viktoria DeJesus, Dayshia Quick, C. J. Diggs, Kristen Kimrey, Bethany Yates, Holley Brigman, Allen Griggs, Josiah Yates, Robert Griggs, Lucas Davis, Chase Williams, Ethan Gainey and Jennifer Roscoe.

Athletic recognition was also given for the Saints volleyball team who ended their season with a 8 - 2 season in the SCACS (South Carolina Association of Christian School) conference. The boys and girls basketball teams were recognized for their great effort in their first season of play after four years without a team. The Lady Saints basketball team earned first place in a non-conference Christian school tournament played at the end of their season.
