The Chesterfield Advertiser was one of the first newspapers in Chesterfield County, and started printing two years prior to the Cheraw Reporter (Chronicle) in 1883. If the newspaper had continued being circulated in the county during the 1990’s - it would have ‘hand’s down’ won the title of Longest Running and Oldest Newspaper with the same name in the County.
The Chesterfield Advertiser November 5, 1908.
