From LOCAL REPORTS

In an effort to help brighten the lives of Chesterfield County children who have lost a loved one, Hospice of Chesterfield County held its fifth annual bereavement camp for children, "Camp Sunshine," on July 26. Eleven children, ages 5 to 12, from throughout the county, attended the one-day camp held at Camp Beaver Lake near Patrick.

The theme of this year's camp was "Splash into Hope." The camp was designed to help children cope with the recent loss of a family member. The children in attendance were able to express their grief through a variety of activities. The children gave tribute to their loved ones through art and also enjoyed exercise and other group activities.
