A funeral service was held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 4 from Grooms Funeral Home & Memorial Chapel. Burial followed in Foundry Hill Cemetery.
Born in Cheraw, Mr. McIntosh was a son of the late Willie and Laura Powe McIntosh. He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church where he was active until his health failed. He was educated in public school and Coulter Memorial Academy where he became a Master Brick Mason. He was a veteran of World War II, and was a Master Chef.
Surviving are a son, Jerry McIntosh of Washington, D.C.; a brother, Hamp (Flossie) McIntosh of Danville, Va.; a sister, Vereen McIntosh (James) Wilson of Cheraw; a granddaughter, DeShaun McIntosh of Washington; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Mack Powe, and two sisters, Margaret M. Malloy and Mary P. Moore.
Arrangements were entrusted to Grooms Funeral Home & Memorial Chapel.
