Eleanor White Alexander, 61, of Hartsville, died Saturday, Oct. 11, 2003.

A funeral service was held at 3 p.m. Monday, Oct. 13 from Chapel Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Grover Johnson officiating. Burial followed in Hebron United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Born in Chesterfield County, Mrs. Alexander was a daughter of the late John C. and Agnes Cranford White, and the widow of Roosevelt Alexander. She was a member of Chapel Hill Baptist Church.

Surviving are two sons, Dickie Ray White and Randy White both of Hartsville; three daughters, Rita O'Neal of Dunn, N.C., and Lisa Gainey and Wendy Bateman both of Hartsville; three sisters, Linda Tolson of Patrick, Estelle Rabon of Hartsville, and Mary Frances Lewis of Nebraska; three brothers, Paul White, Johnny White and Larry White, all of Patrick; 10 grandchildren, Wayne O'Neal, Jessica O'Neal, B.J. Heflin, Alex Gainey, Katelyn Gainey, Joseph Bateman, Bailey Bateman, Austin White, Landon White and Kaylee White; and a great-grandchild, Connor McLeod.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Ann White, and a brother, Donnie White.

Arrangements were entrusted to Brown-Pennington-Atkins Funeral Home.
