A funeral service was held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 15 from Greenlawn Mausoleum Chapel. Entombment followed in the mausoleum.

Born in Chesterfield, Mrs. Brewster was a daughter of the late Daniel DeFoe and Ida Jones Douglas, and the wife of the late Clifton Edwin Brewster. She retired as a registered nurse from Moncrief Army Hospital. She was a longtime member of Shandon Baptist Church.
Surviving are a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by seven sisters and two brothers.
Arrangements were entrusted to Dunbar Funeral Home.
