A funeral service for Margaret Sullivan Truesdale, 78, of Camden, was held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2004 from Malvern Hill Baptist Church with the Revs. Greg Allen, Warren Weeks and Edward N. Taylor officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Malvern Hill Baptist Church Building Fund, 1514 Malvern Hill Drive, Camden, S.C. 29020.

Born in Chesterfield, Mrs. Truesdale was a daughter of the late Herbert and Doll Harpe Sullivan. She was a longtime member of Malvern Hill Baptist Church where she was active in the Dorcus Sunday School Class. She had retired after 42 years of service from the Hermitage, Inc. in Camden. She was married to the late Herbert Truesdale, of Westville, for over 55 years.

Surviving are two daughters, Diane T. McLaughlin of Columbia, and Geri T. Stanley of Irmo; a son, E. Lloyd Truesdale of Charlotte, N.C.; three grandchildren, Dina C. Whatley of Dallas, Texas, Chesnee M. (David) Murdock of Woodway, Texas, and Raven L. McLaughlin of Greenville; two great-grandchildren, Wemberly Murdock and Channing Murdock of Woodway; two brothers, Isaac (Peggy) Sullivan of Kershaw, and Ralph (Eddie) Sullivan of Lancaster; five sisters, Clarine S. (Judson) Ogburn and Cora L. (William) Newman all of Bethune, Grace Hoffstein of Lake City, Helen S. (Donnie) Horton of Jefferson, and Loretta S. Belk of Kershaw; and loving friend, Howard Barnes.

She was preceded by brothers, Clayton Sullivan, Carrol Sullivan, Ray Sullivan and William "Bud" Sullivan.

Arrangements were entrusted to Shives Funeral Home.
