A funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 17 from Rockfish Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Charles Love officiating. Burial followed in Rockfish Cemetery.
Born in Mecklenburg County, N.C., Mrs. Wells was a daughter of the late John Price and Margaret Potts Price, and the widow of William Sprunt Wells. She was a member of Rockfish Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Peggy (Bob) Thornton of Kathleen, Ga., and Lillian (J.C.) Boykin of Wallace; a brother, A.G. "Buck" Price of Charlotte; two grandsons, Kyle Thornton and Kent Thornton of Kathleen, Ga.; and a great-grandson, Antoine Boykin of Wallace.
Arrangements were entrusted to Padgett Funeral Home.
