A funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 15 from First Mt. Zion Baptist Church with the Rev. C.V. Owens officiating. Burial followed in Oaklawn Park Cemetery.
Born in Chesterfield County, Mrs. Young was employed by Pharr Yarns.
Survivors are a son, Jerry Young; and three daughters, Patricia Young, Loretta Young and Mary Louise Young, all of Charlotte.
Arrangements were entrusted to Alexander Funeral Home.
