A funeral service was held at 11a.m. Saturday, June 12 from Dudley Baptist Church.

Born in Newton, N.C., Mrs. Funderburk was a daughter of the late Guy Max and Lola Henderson Long, and the widow of Rupert Albert Funderburk. She was a long-standing member of Dudley Baptist Church and retired at the age of 80 from the labor and delivery unit of Union Regional Medical Center of Monroe, N.C., where she worked for 35 years.
Surviving are five daughters, Cynthia (Doug) Middaugh of Pensacola, Fla., Sheila (Gene) Jenkins of Sunset Beach, N.C., Andrea (David) Miller of Monroe, N.C., Kathy (Tom) Golder of Charlotte, N.C., and Alison Graves of Jefferson; a son, Rennie (Elaine) Funderburk of Indian Trail, N.C.; two sisters, Janet (Ben) Kendricks of Melbourne, Fla., and Joyce Baucom of Tampa, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a number of other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by a son, Rusty Funderburk.
Arrangements were entrusted to Sutton Funeral Home.
