Twenty-seven schools across the state have been designated as Flagship Schools of Promise, including 17 schools which have earned that award for the second time. The awards are presented by the SC Association of School Administrators (SCASA).
Among the new Flagship Schools of Promise for 2004-2005 is Cheraw Intermediate School.
A Flagship School of Promise is a school-community collaboration offering the "five essential resources" for a child's healthy development, through new or existing school and community resources. Those resources are as follows:
