A funeral service was held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 10 from Wolf Pond Baptist Church.
Born in Monroe, N.C., Mr. Carnes was a son of John and Pearl Nash Carnes. He had retired with Clark Industrial Trucking Company.
Surviving are his wife, Mildred Eubanks Carnes; and two daughters, Robin Carnes and Karen Demby.
Arrangements were entrusted to Sutton Funeral Home.
