James Thomas "Tommy" White Jr., 18, of Chesterfield, died Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2004.

A graveside funeral service was held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 9 in the Chesterfield Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the James Thomas "Tommy" White Scholarship Fund, c/o First Citizens Bank, 403 W. Main St., Chesterfield, S.C. 29709.

Born in Cheraw, Mr. White was a son of James Thomas White Sr. and Cammie Lou Gaskins White. He was an employee of Fred Gaskins Farm.

Surviving are his mother of Chesterfield; his father of Cheraw; two sisters, Candace White and Rebecca White of Chesterfield; maternal grandparents, Frederick W. and Lucille R. Gaskins of Chesterfield; his paternal grandmother, Viola Brock of Cheraw; and a number of aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by a grandfather, James Dudley White.

Arrangements were entrusted to Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home.
