A funeral service was held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 31 from Pee Dee Union Baptist Church. Burial followed in Church In the Name For the Lord Jesus Christ Cemetery, Chesterfield.
Born in Chesterfield County, Miss Evans was a daughter of Jannie Mae Evans and the late Sammie E. Evans. She was a 1980 graduate of Chesterfield High School. She later moved to Marlboro County, then to Fayetteville.
