Ira Russell Logan Jr., 55, of Olanta, died Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2004 at his residence after an illness.

A funeral service was held at 3 p.m. Friday, Nov. 12 from Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Burial followed in Tabernacle Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.

Born in Sumter County, Mr. Logan was a son of the late Ira "Buck" Russell Logan Sr. and Nolia Parnell Logan. He was owner and operator of Russell's Barber Shop in Olanta. Mr. Logan was a former member of the National Guard. He was a graduate of Capital Barber School and was Past President of the South Carolina Barber Board. He was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Sportsman Hunting Club, The National Fox Hunters Association and was recently inducted into the South Carolina Fox Hunters Hall of Fame. Mr. Logan was a former Board Member of the Olanta Business Association where he served as Past President. He was a Mason and a member of Fidelity Lodge #394.

Surviving are two daughters, Julie Ann Logan of La Jolla, Calif., and Carole Anne (Randy) Bradshaw of Manning; a son, Christopher Russell Logan of Cheraw; three sisters, Linda L. Green of Florence, Terry L. (Frank) White of Florence, and Tammy Smith of Turbeville; a brother, Larry (Dale) Logan of Lynchburg; and two grandchildren, Madison Alexis White and Christopher Mason Logan.

Arrangements were entrusted to Floyd Funeral Home.
