A funeral service was held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 22 from Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed in Bay Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
Born in Chesterfield, Mr. Shaw was a son of the late Oscar Samuel and Alma Lewis Shaw, and the widower of Faye Brown Shaw. He was a retired employee of Delta Mills.
Surviving are two sons, Marty Shaw and Scott Shaw of Chesterfield; two stepdaughters, Vickie Shaw and Anita Spencer of Chesterfield, and Johnnie Sue Gaskins of Patrick; three brothers, J.W. Shaw of Myrtle Beach, Billy Shaw of Chesterfield, and Johnny Shaw of Ruby; a sister, Ruby S. Winburn of Cassatt; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, James Shaw and Murdock Shaw.
Arrangements were entrusted to Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home.
